Tom Martens sees Watermill Art SFN (by Connect) leave for Michael Greeve. He has informed SFN that he will focus more on training young horses and riding competitions.
The breeding product of Jan Greve will be ridden by Michael Greeve from now on.
"I work closely with Vincent Voorn, who has been the national coach of the Young Riders for some time now and who also has to free up time to assist the national coach of the seniors Jos Lansink. Because of this my focus has changed and in my opinion there will be too little opportunity to participate in competitions frequently. That is the reason I have indicated that in my opinion it is in the best interest of Watermill Art SFN to look for another rider for this horse," said Martens.
"After I explained my decision verbally to management and selectors, I thanked SFN II for the confidence placed in me and for allowing me to train this very talented horse. Personally I have experienced this assignment as honorable and pleasant. I am also very happy that Watermill Art SFN now gets the opportunity with a top rider like Michael Greeve to further develop himself into a horse that SFN has in mind", Tom stated.
Michael Greeve is delighted that this horse is coming to strengthen his stable. "I was in Spain at competitions, where also Tom and Watermill Art in SFN were in action. There this horse struck me in a positive way and I am glad that SFN now gives me the opportunity again to ride a talented horse for them," said Greeve, who also had Varanka SFN (Gran Corrado x Hamlet) in his stable in 2009.
