A little earlier on the calendar this year — the iconic Soers in Aachen welcomes the global elite this weekend for the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. World number three and European Champion Richard Vogel will enter the ring as a Live Contender on home soil.
The very best in the world will be present, including world number one Kent Farrington (USA), number two Scott Brash (GBR), alongside Ben Maher (GBR), Gilles Thomas (BEL), Nina Mallevaey (FRA), Shane Sweetnam (IRL), Christian Kukuk (GER), and more.
Further top names include Harrie Smolders (NED), McLain Ward (USA), Daniel Deusser (GER), Luciana Diniz (BRA) and Julien Epaillard (FRA).
Defending champion in Aachen is Martin Fuchs (SUI). Aachen is the second Rolex Major of the year — following the Dutch Masters in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Grand Slam circuit now moves to CHIO Aachen. September brings Spruce Meadows, and in December the CHI Genève, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary.
