Abdullah Mohd Al Marri and James vd Oude Heihoef unbeatable in Sharjah's 1.50m CSIO4*

In Sharjah, the CSIO4* Nations Cup will take center stage tomorrow. In the 1.50m Longines Ranking and main event on Saturday, victory had a Belgian touch thanks to James Vd Oude Heihoef. bred by Mark Herrijgers. The BWP son of Douglas was trained internationally by Tom Dhaeyere.

 

Together with Abdullah Mohd Al Marri, the BWP gelding was the only one to complete the jump-off without faults. The fastest time was recorded by Shane Breen with his own 12-year-old gelding, Scarteen (Golden Hawk). For Belgium, Constant van Paesschen completed the top three. Recently, Van Paesschen stated his motivation to start the year in the Middle East.

Riding Zahara (Balou du Rouet), Van Paesschen finished ahead of Ali Hamad Al Kirbi with Jarlin de Torres (Jarnac). In the saddle of Cornet XL (Cornet Obolensky), Shaikha Latifah Ahmed Almaktoum completed the top five.

Also placing in the event, Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo rode the 11-year-old KWPN mare, Jacarta Equigenne (Lord Z), to an eventual ninth-place finish.
