One year after the Cannes Stars made history as the first all-female team to win the overall Global Champions League Championship, the Iron Dames returned to Rabat with another groundbreaking performance. The highlight of the weekend came from Anastasia Nielsen, who became the youngest ever rider to win a Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix, at just 19 years old.
“I’m so happy. It was my first ever clear round in a Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix and I just went into the jump-off knowing that the line-up of seven riders was really strong. I had no expectations, I just wanted to do my best. This is what dreams are made of. I want to thank Deborah Mayer and the Iron Dames for all their support. They are the ones who give me the chance to come to these shows and I’m very grateful for that.”
