At the Longines Global Champions Tour of Vienna, Ciaran Nallon claimed victory in the CSI5* 1.45 class with Little Special In Red M, edging out the competition with a faultless performance. The Irish rider posted the fastest time of the second phase in 26.18 seconds. Sanne Thijssen and Giacomo Casadei followed in second and third place respectively.
Nallon needed just 26.18 seconds in the second phase to secure the win. In the saddle of Little Special In Red M (I'm Special de Muze), he also jumped clear in the opening phase, making the most of his speed in the decisive round.
Sanne Thijssen came closest to the Irish winner with Os le Petit Cheval (Peppermill). The Dutch rider kept all the poles up and crossed the finish line in 27.23 seconds, securing second place. Giacomo Casadei completed the podium with Rodania ter Leydonck (Gino H) in 27.79 seconds.
Fourth place went to Eduardo Alvarez Aznar. Riding Qevita vd Bisschop (Vigo d'Arsouilles), the Spaniard produced a clear round in 28.57 seconds. Kevin Staut completed the top five with Ever de Turan (Kannan) in 28.90 seconds.
