With a flawless performance and a winning time of 24.16 seconds, the rider from Follonica once again claimed victory in the Two Phases class (1.45m – €29,000), this time aboard the young French mare Hemerald d’Argonne (Emerald), a horse that has developed sportingly under his guidance.

For Bicocchi, competing at the Roman show for the twentieth time, it marked his eleventh career victory at Piazza di Siena. His first success came in the puissance class in 2005, while his most recent triumph had come in 2024.

“I’m very pleased with Emerald. After winning another class at the three-star CSIO at Scuderia La Caccia two weeks ago, she confirmed today that she still has plenty of room to improve. At home I also have two other horses, both Italian-bred, at a similar level, and I truly hope one of them can become a horse for even bigger competitions. I also have to thank the team supporting me at home, who managed to keep Emerald in excellent form during the break I had to take this spring. The results I achieved with her and with the other horses as soon as I returned to the saddle prove that,” said Bicocchi.

Bicocchi finished ahead of Germany’s Sophie Hinners with Diamanda 4 (Diarado) (0 penalties in 24.42 seconds) and another Italian rider, Lorenzo Correddu aboard Dalakani Chardonnet, the reigning Italian Under 25 champions.
