The Sunshine Tour’s 1.45m Small Grand Prix delivered an electrifying Jump-Off, where 16 combinations battled for the top prize. Ultimately, it was France’s Alix Ragot aboard Coldplay EJ (Zilverstar T) who stole the show, clinching victory with a flawless performance and a lightning-fast time of 38.52 seconds in the Jump-Off.
Ragot and the 13-year-old grey gelding Coldplay EJ, owned by Sas Era Jump and Earl Ecuries De Pegase, navigated the first round in a steady 71.23 seconds before executing a blistering Jump-Off to secure the win. This triumph earned them a prize of 7,050 EUR and a well-deserved moment of glory.
Trailing just behind, Brazil’s André Reichmann and Cookie du Bassin (Lando) gave a commendable effort, completing their Jump-Off in 38.61 seconds—just 0.09 seconds off the winning time. Despite the narrow margin, Reichmann’s performance with the 13-year-old bay mare, bred by Yvonne Potignon, was enough to claim second place and a prize of 5,640 EUR.
Germany’s Maximilian Lill and the 8-year-old bay gelding Kommandant 10 (Comme Il Faut), owned by Gestüt Katharinenhof/Lill, rounded out the podium. Clocking in at 38.75 seconds in the Jump-Off, their performance secured third place and a 4,230 EUR prize.
Spain’s Armando Trapote aboard Karl P (Carrera VDL) was another strong contender, completing the Jump-Off in 38.94 seconds, finishing just outside the podium in fourth place. Swiss rider Stefanie Lauber and Dealer des Forets (Mozart des Hayettes) delivered a clean but slightly slower Jump-Off at 41.70 seconds, securing fifth place.
With a total of 16 riders qualifying for the Jump-Off, the competition was fierce, highlighting the exceptional talent on display. As the Sunshine Tour continues, all eyes will be on the riders to see who will rise to the occasion in the next big event.
