Daccalimbo descends from the stallion Dacantos and the mare Baccalimba, which means he is firmly anchored in a sporting jumping line known for its power and caution. Under Vorsselmans, he has already demonstrated his talent on several occasions in the international Youngster circuit, including competitions in Peelbergen and Kronenberg. In the six-year-old classes, he jumped convincingly and recorded clear rounds that earned him a top-10 ranking, among other things.

At Stal De Sjiem, Daccalimbo became a favourite, not only for his performances in the ring, but also for his reliable character in daily interactions. This makes saying goodbye difficult, but at the same time, pride prevails: ‘He was a real favourite here and we will miss him, but we are sure that he will bring his new team just as much joy and success.’

With the sale of Daccalimbo, Stal De Sjiem closes a valuable chapter, but at the same time a new adventure begins for the gelding. His pedigree, his results and the positive experiences of his riders together form a strong basis for a career at a higher level. The future therefore looks promising, and both his former and new environments are eagerly looking forward to the next steps of this remarkable talent.
