The course designer team of Vezzani Uliano (ITA) made sure to put on a challenging course for the FEI Jumping World Cup in Verona. 16 jumps were build up to the height of 1.60m for the 40 competitors in the first round. Only 7 riders were able to clear these fences and jump through to the jump-off, which held 8 more fences to conquer.
In the end it was Daniel Deusser on Otello de Guldenboom (Tobago Z) that claimed victory in the technical World Cup. The pair was able to conclude their jump-off in 36.13 seconds to snag the gold. The silver time was clocked in 36.92 seconds by Alain Jufer who saddled Dante MM (Diarado) for the class. The podium was completed by Christian Kukuk and Just Be Gentle (Tyson) in 37.31 seconds.
Just off the podium we found Emanuele Gaudiano who chose to ride Esteban de Hus (Cornet Obolensky) over the 1.60m fences. They put in a clear round in 37.54 seconds. Fifth place was claimed by Richard Vogel on the back of Cloudio (Casall) with the overal fastest time of 35.44 seconds but 1 fence down.
