On her social media, German rider Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann announced the sale of Iron Dames Dubai du Cedre (by Baloubet du Rouet, breeders: Perrine Cateline & Sylvain Potin). The 12-year-old mare will now compete for Saudi Arabia.
In September last year (2024), Meyer-Zimmermann took over the reins from Julien Epaillard. “Thank you, Dubai,” the German rider wrote on her social media. “I had hoped we would have more time together. Unfortunately, this is goodbye! We only knew each other for about a year, but you will always have a place in my heart. We achieved so much together — like winning the Global Champions League of Doha and going clear in the Nations Cup of Rome!”
Together with Epaillard, the mare competed successfully at the highest level. The pair won the 2023 LGCT Super Grand Prix in Prague and the CSI5*w Longines Grand Prix in Lyon. They also earned bronze at the FEI European Championships in Milan in 2024.
