No fewer than 17 combinations qualified for the jump-off of the 1.50m main event in Lier. In this CSIO3* class, Edward Levy rode Griss de Kerglenn to victory in 36.49 seconds. The pair narrowly stayed ahead of Bas Moerings and Gudrun Patteet. “I’m super happy to win here. My horse jumped fantastically and the facilities are amazing!”
The entire podium finished within less than half a second of each other. Levy and the nine-year-old daughter of Cristallo just edged out Bas Moerings and the 10-year-old KWPN mare, Kivinia (by I’m Special de Muze). The Dutch rider continued his strong form and pushed Gudrun Patteet into third place.
Patteet completed the top three in front of a home crowd, riding the 10-year-old Sea Coast Chica V.V. Z (by Comme Il Faut). Patteet and the mare, bred by Evelyne Van Vreckom, were followed by Mel Thijssen with Grieg S (by Indoctro).
The top five of this main class was rounded off by Viktor Edvinsson, riding Eliwood du Fresne (by Safari d’Auge).
