Thirteen combinations qualified for the jump-off of the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix in Helsinki! Nine duos managed to complete the decider with a clear round. Together with Chadellano JRA (Chacco-Blue), Eiken Sato jumped to victory in a time of 32.89 seconds.
Olympic course designer Guilherme Jorge had set a challenging Grand Prix at a height of 1.55m. Eiken Sato and the 15-year-old son of Chacco-Blue narrowly beat the time of Kevin Staut and the 10-year-old mare, Kannonqulan (Kannan). Staut thus relegated the winner of the qualifier, Giampiero Garofalo, to third place. Garofalo and the 10-year-old BWP gelding, Querido van 't Ruytershof (Mosito van het Hellehof), completed the Grand Prix podium.
Finishing just outside the top three, Marc Dilasser took fourth place with Make my Day Z du Gevres (Mylord Carthago). The top five was rounded off by Patrick Stühlmeyer and the 12-year-old gelding, Conterno-Blue PS (Veyron).
