The grey, a son of Cornet Obolensky (formerly Windows van het Costersveld) bred by Haras d’Authuit, had been competing under Erynn Ballard since March 2024. The duo regularly secured top placings up to the highest 5* Grand Prix level.

First Rounds Under the Swiss Flag

Mid-September (17–20 September), Fuchs and Fave d’Authuit made their official debut at the competition in Gassin. Over courses of 1.35m and 1.40m, they immediately left a solid impression, incurring just a single jumping fault across three rounds.

"In Gassin, Fave gave me a fantastic feeling," said the Swiss world number fifteen. "Of course, I still need to get to know him better. To build our partnership further, I’m taking him to Gorla Minore this weekend. We had a great training session at home last Saturday; every day we understand each other a bit better. I’m going to take my time with him, without any pressure. Over the years, he has already proven his quality beyond doubt. Now it’s mainly a matter of forming a strong partnership and seeing how far we can go together."

French title

Fave d'Authuit has followed an impressive path so far. In his early years, he was produced by French rider Faustine Laferrerie, with whom he took the French national title for five-year-old stallions and geldings. Later on, the gelding also performed admirably under Nicolas Paillot before stepping up to top-level international sport with Ballard, and now Fuchs.
