The opening day of the Saut Hermès in Paris concluded with the 1.50m Prix Hermès Sellier. In this speed class, Francois Xavier Boudant jumped to a record time during the second half of the event. For Belgium, Pieter Devos proved to be the top performer!
After finishing in 60.02 seconds, Francois Xavier Boudant rode the Selle Français gelding Brazyl du Mezel (Haloubet De Gorze) to the eventual victory. In the second part of this five-star class, the Frenchman clocked a time two-hundredths of a second faster than Julien Epaillard and Easy Up de Grandry (Jarnac).
Alongside his trusted Vitiki (Valentino), Yuri Mansur completed the top three. As one of the first to start, Daniel Deusser ultimately had to settle for fourth place. Deusser finished just outside the top three in the saddle of Bingo de Ste Hermelle (Number One d'Iso). Henrik von Eckermann rounded out the top five after taking the necessary risks with the 13-year-old mare Calizi (Cellestial).
