Out of a highly competitive field of no less than 68 combinations, with only 16 making it through to the jump-off, the Belgian duo Gudrun Patteet and the Zangersheide mare Sea Coast Chica V.V. Z (Comme Il Faut 5) claimed a convincing victory in the CSI4* 1.50m Prix Demeures de Campagne in Cabourg!
Gudrun Patteet and the ten-year-old Sea Coast Chica V.V. Z (Comme Il Faut 5) delivered a clear round in the jump-off, finishing in a time of 36.73 seconds — ultimately the fastest of the class, securing them a convincing win! Patteet and the mare were over a second faster than French rider Kevin Staut and the Zangersheide mare Vida Loca Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles). Staut also produced a faultless round in the jump-off, stopping the clock at 37.06 seconds — just shy of taking the victory.
Completing the podium was Tom Wachman with Obora's Laura (Luidam), who also jumped clear in the jump-off, finishing in 37.97 seconds.
Just off the podium, another Belgian rider drew attention — Jérôme Guery raced through the finish in 38.07 seconds, securing fourth place with the ten-year-old Sandro Boy daughter, Haquinsa. Rounding out the top five was Canadian rider Kyle Timm, who claimed fifth place aboard the Zangersheide mare Atomica des Sequoias Z (Arezzo VDL).
