Similar to the Global Champions League, team competition takes center stage in the Major League Showjumping! On Friday, the gold medal was awarded after a battle between Maccabi United and Team Archer. Represented by Aaron Vale (USA), Nicola Philippaerts (BEL), and Harry Charles (GBR), Team Archer claimed victory.
Aaron Vale and the Belgian-bred Styles (Cornet Obolensky x Canturo), together with Nicola Philippaerts riding H&M Luna van 't Ruytershof Z (Levisto Z x For Pleasure, breeder: Bert Van den Branden), and Harry Charles with the Irish-bred Bandit (Obos Quality 004 x Cruisings Micky Finn), secured the win.
The latter combination finished in second place individually. With a clear round for the team in the second round, Charles and Bandit proved to be almost nine seconds faster than Gabriel Machado and Legaland Sandro (Sandro Boy x Clinton) in the final jump-off. This combination competed for team Maccabi United. The bronze medal went to team Northern Lights.
