No fewer than 13 combinations qualified for the jump-off in the 1.55m Gothenburg Trophy. In the end, the world number one managed to keep the victory on home soil. Von Eckermann guided J.A.M. Bocken's KWPN mare, Iliana (Cardento), to victory, bringing great joy to the home crowd!
Von Eckermann and the 12-year-old mare from Dufour Stables Ag finished just a few tenths of a second ahead of Kevin Staut and New Libero One d'Asschaut (Van Gogh). Staut and the 12-year-old BWP stallion pushed Max Kühner, riding the 14-year-old gelding Elektric Blue P (Eldorado vd Zeshoek), into third place.
Just outside the top three, Yuri Mansur secured fourth place with his trusted Vitiki (Valentino). The top five was expertly rounded off by Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer and the 11-year-old Zangersheide mare, Carabella vd Neyen Z (Carrera VDL).
