Henrik von Eckermann starts new year as world number one!

The Swedish show jumper Henrik von Eckermann starts the year once again as the world number one. In December, the top four of the Longines Ranking remained unchanged. Von Eckermann holds the top spot ahead of Steve Guerdat (SUI), Ben Maher (GBR), and Kent Farrington (USA).

Swiss rider Martin Fuchs (SUI) jumps from ninth to fifth place, surpassing the former eighth-place rider, McLain Ward (USA). Olympic champion Christian Kukuk remains steady in seventh place. The German rider is followed by former fifth-place Max Kühner (AUT), who stays ahead of Richard Vogel (GER) and Conor Swail (IRL).

In the top 100, Israel's Ashlee Bonds makes one of the biggest jumps forward jumping from 114th into 84th place. In the top 30 it are Belgium's Gilles Thomas and USA's Laura Kraut making the biggist jump.
