After 11 years of collaboration, Swedish fashion company H&M and brothers Olivier Philippaerts and Nicola Philippaerts are closing this chapter together. The decision follows a change in strategy at H&M. Olivier and Nicola Philippaerts are grateful for the trust they received over the years. Both parties look back with pride and now focus on new opportunities in the future.
The partnership was announced in February 2015 during the Göteborg Horse Show. It included financial support, as well as workshops, personal coaching and media training.
“I remember the announcement of the partnership as if it was yesterday,” says Olivier Philippaerts. “It was a very special moment for us. We became part of a warm team that supported us in many ways. At that time, we were growing internationally as riders. The partnership came at the perfect moment and matched who we are, our values and our way of working. I am very thankful for the long and meaningful journey we shared.”
Nicola Philippaerts agrees with his twin brother. “A global company like H&M chose two brothers from Limburg as ambassadors. Our main focus has always been our sport: training, competing and working with our horses every day. Suddenly, we entered a new world where we became ambassadors and, among other things, took part in photoshoots. The partnership helped us grow, both as athletes and as people. After 11 years, we are closing this chapter. It is not easy to close such a long partnership, but we are especially grateful. Partnerships that last this long are rare. It shows how much H&M believed in us. We are proud of that and we take this with us into the future.”
