Swedish top riders Henrik von Eckermann and Malin Baryard-Johnsson have announced that their star horses, H&M Indiana (Kashmir van schuttershof x Animo's hallo) and King Edward (Edward x Feo de lauzelle), will no longer compete in championships.
"It’s been a fantastic period in which we had such extraordinary horses at our disposal,” they said. “We look back with pride, but now focus on developing the champions of the future.”
Gold, Silver, and Historic Achievements
Both horses made history for Sweden. H&M Indiana and King Edward were part of the team that claimed Olympic gold in Tokyo and stood on the top step of the podium again at the 2022 World Championships in Herning. H&M Indiana also played a key role in winning the team silver medal at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon.
With this farewell, a chapter full of remarkable successes comes to an end, but both riders already have their eyes set on the future.
