More than 115 FEI athletes representing 23 nations are set to compete this week at the Spruce Meadows 'North American', presented by Rolex, the final tournament of the 2026 Summer Series. Following this morning's FEI Veterinary Inspection, over 200 horses have been declared fit and ready to contest one of the most anticipated weeks of international show jumping competition.
The prestigious five-star competitions will take place on the iconic International Ring, where FEI Course Designer Santiago Varela (ESP) will challenge athletes with a variety of technical and demanding tracks. Varela's distinguished career includes serving as course designer and a member of course design teams at multiple Olympic Games, World Championships, and some of the sport's most celebrated international competitions.
Fans can expect an exceptional week of sport as many of the world's top athletes return to Spruce Meadows, including Tiffany Foster (CAN), Daniel Coyle (IRL), Lillie Keenan (USA), World No. 2 Richard Vogel (GER), who enjoyed tremendous success during last week's competition, newly Canadian Kyle King, and World No. 14 McLain Ward (USA), who returns to the 'North American' for the first time since 2021 (he did compete at the ‘Masters’ in 2024).
