The final day of the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) in Miami kicked off with an immediate highlight for Belgian riders. In the 1.45m CSI5* speed class, Jerôme Guery rode to a convincing victory.
Guery entered the ring with the 15-year-old gelding Careca LS Elite (by Carusso LS La Silla). The duo set a blistering pace, becoming the only combination to finish clear in under 60 seconds. With this lightning-fast round, Guery secured the top step of the podium with a significant lead.
The pair finished just under a second ahead of Erynn Ballard and the 12-year-old mare Coconet (Colman). Rounding out the top three was Kaitlin Campbell in the irons of the 12-year-old gelding Castle Hesed (Christian).
In front of a home crowd, American rider Jordan Coyle followed in fourth with For Gold (For Fashion). The top five was completed by Eduardo Pereira De Menezes and the 13-year-old H5 Messentus PS (Messenger).
