Julien Epaillard once again proved today that he is the "Master of Faster." In the World Cup of Basel, he left no room for discussion and won with his trusted Donatello. "This horse is truly very special to me and my family. He is in top condition. That’s why I really want to focus on the World Cup Final with him this year!" the Frenchman said after his victory.
"My strategy today was essentially not to have one. I was, however, determined to collect World Cup points," Epaillard explained. "I feel that with Donatello, I have a chance to perform well during the World Cup Final this year. I came to Basel with the goal of securing my position in the rankings!"
"When I entered the ring, I noticed the risk of the turn from obstacle 3 toward number 8a and 8b. I felt the risk was too great and decided not to take it. I just wanted to put pressure on the competition!"
