Riding Easy Up de Grandry (Jarnac), Epaillard produced a flawless performance and stopped the clock at 60.81 seconds, setting a benchmark that would remain untouched.

Julien Epaillard said afterwards: “I’m very satisfied with today. Easy Up de Grandry jumped really well and my plan worked out exactly as hoped. Instead of the planned distance, I rode six strides, then one and two, and that immediately gave me a good feeling in the course. After that, I was able to ride some nice turns and I kept finding good distances to the fences, which allowed everything to come together smoothly. I also really enjoy competing here, as the conditions are ideal for keeping the horses moving well and in shape. That’s important with upcoming shows in ’s-Hertogenbosch and Paris in mind. Last week I was still in Oliva with four horses, and now I’m trying to carefully prepare the younger and newer horses for the next steps.”

Katrin Eckermann followed in second place aboard Chao Lee (Comme Il Faut) with a clear round in 61.11 seconds, while Michael Jung secured third in the saddle of Eclaire Z (Epleaser van't Heike) in 62.01 seconds.

Belgium also made its presence felt just behind the podium. Robin van Thillo guided My Jewel's Magic Touch (Stakkato) to fourth place with a clear effort in 62.58 seconds, while Niels Bruynseels finished fifth riding Devidanga Sw Z (Dominator 2000 z) in 63.18 seconds.
