The latest FEI Longines Rankings have produced a new world number one as Kent Farrington climbs to the top of the standings with 3,511 points. The American rider moves up from second place, overtaking Great Britain’s Scott Brash, who now sits just behind him on 3,492 points.
After months of consistency at the highest level, Farrington’s rise marks another milestone in his already impressive career. Brash, who previously held the top spot, remains firmly in contention as the battle for world number one continues to tighten heading deeper into the outdoor season.
Germany’s Richard Vogel remains firmly established in third place with 3,238 points, continuing his consistent run at the highest level of the sport. Olympic champion Ben Maher also holds steady in fourth place on 2,966 points, while Belgium’s Gilles Thomas completes the top five with 2,959 points.
Outside the top five Christian Kukuk moves up from ninth to eighth place, while Steve Guerdat climbs into the top ten after advancing from 11th to ninth. McLain Ward also gains two positions to secure tenth place.
One of the biggest jumps inside the top 20 comes from Daniel Deusser, who rises from 24th to 18th position. Kristen Vanderveen also makes a strong move, climbing from 35th to 24th place, while Piergiorgio Bucci advances twelve spots from 40th to 28th.
