Last weekend, the final round of the Western European World Cup season took place in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the top of the standings, French show jumper Kevin Staut emerged as the winner!
The Western European league has 18 spots available for the final in Basel. As the overall ranking winner, Kevin Staut (FRA) is guaranteed his place. He is followed in the rankings by Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER), just 4 points behind. Dreher secured a victory this season by winning the World Cup in Mechelen. Only two points behind him, Pieter Devos (BEL) takes third place.
Just outside the top three, Robert Whitaker (GBR) ranks fourth, staying ahead of Austrian Max Kühner, who won in Helsinki. France’s Julien Epaillard, who claimed the World Cup victory in Basel, finishes in sixth place. Following him is a Gregory Wathelet (BEL), who had a consistent season, including a win in Oslo, ahead of Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten.
In ninth place, we see Julien Anquetin (FRA), followed by Martin Fuchs (SUI), who earlier this month defeated the competition in Bordeaux.
