Koen Vereecke claimed victory for Belgium in the CSI5*-W 1.50m class at the AGRIA Oslo Horse Show. Riding Merryweather Vt Leeuwerikenhof, the Belgian rider produced a faultless round in 62.50 seconds to take the win. Thibeau Spits and Ignace Philips De Vuyst also delivered clear rounds, securing places in the top ten.
Koen Vereecke topped the standings in the 1.50m class against the clock with BWP-mare Merryweather Vt Leeuwerikenhof (Emerald), crossing the finish line in 62.50 seconds without faults. Ireland’s Francis Derwin came closest to the Belgian rider, finishing second aboard Flexi K (Flex A Bill)n 62.80 seconds. His compatriot Mark McAuley completed the podium with L’arc En Ciel Z (L'arc de Triomphe) in 62.97 seconds.
Norway’s Pål Flam took fourth place with Evoila KVG Z (Edjaz van't Merelsnest) in 63.82 seconds, while Brazil’s Stephanie Macieira rounded out the top five aboard Novak de Kalvarie (Catoki) in 63.90 seconds.
Thibeau Spits also produced a strong performance for Belgium with Rozelien Dwerse Hagen (Nixon van't Meulenhof). The pair jumped clear in 64.64 seconds to finish seventh.
