Since taking over the reins in December 2023, Bluman and Landon de Nyze (formerly Crack de Nyze Z) have proven to be a formidable duo. Their short time together is already decorated with top-tier results:

  • December: Victory in the CSI5* 1.55m Grand Prix qualifier at Desert International Horse Park.

  • January: Secured the CSI4* 1.55m WEF Challenge Cup Round 4 in Wellington.

  • February: A career-highlight second-place finish in the CSI5* 1.60m Modon Grand Prix during the Winter Equestrian Festival.

A Proven Championship Pedigree

Landon de Nyze is no stranger to the winner’s circle. Before transitioning to the Bluman family, the gelding reached the pinnacle of the sport under U.S. rider Kent Farrington. Together, they topped the 2023 FEI Jumping Rankings for horse-and-rider combinations, fueled by a stellar season that included:

  • 2023 Pan American Games: Team Gold and Individual Silver medals.

  • Major Grand Prix Wins: CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix (San Miguel de Allende) and the CSI5* Pan American Cup (Spruce Meadows).

  • 2024 Highlights: Success at Royal Windsor, including a win in the CSI5* Kingdom of Bahrain Stakes.

Looking Toward Aachen

The gelding was initially acquired in early 2025 by Mark’s cousin, Daniel Bluman, alongside Over The Top Stables, at which point the original breeder's suffix, "de Nyze," was restored. Following a successful stint with Daniel, the ride was passed to Mark.

With ownership now solidified by the Ampagoumians, Mark Bluman has set his sights on the World Championships in Aachen later this year, marking a new chapter for one of the circuit's most consistent performers.
