Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and the 10-year-old mare Rockwell RC (Kannan GFE x Guidam) captured victory in the Major League of Showjumping (MLSJ) CSI5* 1.40m Two Phase in Greenwich, Connecticut, on Thursday. The duo continues an impressive run of form following their recent win in Traverse City.
Riding for the Trelawny Trailblazers team, the Brazilian showjumper steered the Irish Sport Horse mare clear through both phases, stopping the clock in a fast 53.01 seconds to seal the top spot on the podium.
Canada’s Lexi Ray secured the runner-up position aboard Crazy Friend (Cador x Lordanos), delivering a double-clear round in 56.17 seconds. American rider Isabel Coxe (Maccabi United) completed the top three with Mimosa VD Rollebeek (Castelino van de helle x Toulon), crossing the timers clear in 49.61 seconds in the second phase, though Zanotelli’s performance ultimately clinched the class victory.
This triumph marks a repeat performance for Zanotelli and Rockwell RC, who won the $62,500 MLSJ 5* Individual Speed competition in Traverse City, Michigan, less than two weeks ago.
Organizers noted that the remaining competition schedule has been adjusted due to incoming inclement weather.
