In Monterrey, Mexico, home riders dominated the CSI5* Grand Prix podium. After a jump-off with five competitors, Arturo Parada Vallejo claimed victory aboard Mon Faut-Tren (Comme Il Faut x Cardento), bred by H. Wilms.
Vallejo and the eight-year-old offspring of Comme Il Faut finished just under a second ahead of fellow Mexican rider Nicolas Pizarro with Pia Contra (Conthargos x Chacco-Blue). Completing the 1.60m Grand Prix podium was Frederico Fernandez aboard the French-bred Romeo (Ramiro Z x Remus I).
Just outside the top three, José Antonio Chedraui Eguia placed fourth with the KWPN horse Con-Cor (Starpower x Padinus). In fifth came Kristaps Neretnieks riding Valour (Ijsselmeer x Pik Solo).
