Great Britain loses one of its top horses to America. Tim Gredley's star, Imperial HBF, is moving to the stables of McLain Ward! The duo caught attention while competing in various Nations Cup events, World Cups, and CSI5* Grand Prix competitions.
In an interview with H&H, Gredley shared that saying goodbye was an emotional moment. "This horse put my career on the map. The decision to sell him was one of the hardest of my life."
Imperial was bred by Laura Tinto and trained by Alex Barr. The son of Glasgow van 't Merelsnest was purchased by Gredley in 2022. "We started small and invested a lot of time in building our partnership. From the beginning, we believed in this horse. At that time, we were lucky to also have Medoc de Toxandria in the stable. Imperial wasn't quite ready to step into the spotlight yet. Thanks to Medoc, I was able to give Imperial more time!"
From now on, Imperial will represent the American flag with McLain Ward!
