Harry Charles has secured a notable new addition to his lineup. The thirteen-year-old stallion Chacco Volo (OS, Chacco-Blue x Carthago), who was competing very successfully until recently under fellow countryman Adrian Whiteway, has transferred to the stable of the British Olympic team champion.
During the World Championships in Aachen, Whiteway was still in the saddle of the Chacco-Blue son, but since last week the bay stallion has been making his debut under Charles at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva. The new duo enjoyed a promising start at the Spanish CSI2* event: three clear, faultless rounds in the 1.30m, 1.35m, and 1.40m classes during the first week, and another two clear rounds in the 1.40m during the second week.
Impressive Track Record
Chacco Volo is by no means a stranger to the top level. Under Adrian Whiteway, the stallion played a key role for the British team, securing Nations Cup victories in Gassin and Hickstead in 2025 and 2026. This year, they also contributed significantly to Great Britain’s third-place finish in the Rome Nations Cup with a double clear round.
