The Irish show jumpers maintain their reputation at the World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses! Following an ultimate jump-off featuring 20 combinations, Niamh McEvoy jumped to the World Championship title with the six-year-old Emerald son, Easy Peasy Indebus Z (breeders: D. Van Tilburg & J. Thiry).
After a clear finish in 40.85 seconds, the Irish rider Niamh McEvoy jumped to victory with Easy Peasy Indebus Z (Emerald). The pair stayed just under a second ahead of Angelique Böckmann and the six-year-old stallion, Django Z (Dourkhan Hero Z, breeder: Georg Sievert). On home soil, the Zangersheide rider stayed narrowly ahead of Emeric George and the SF gelding Kelstar Derick (Mylord Carthago), bred by Elevage de Rick.
Just outside the medals, Sam Widger jumped to fourth place with BP Wishes (Aganix du Seigneur). The top five was rounded out by Jenny Rankin and Kassie Devine Z (Kassander van 't Roosakker).
