Pieter Devos and Jarina J (Cicero Z van Paemel x Harley VDL) are on a remarkable winning streak in Doha. After previously finishing third in the Doha World Cup, the duo jumped to victory in Friday’s 1.50m CSI5* class.
Pieter Devos and Jarina J left no room for the competition in Doha’s 1.50m feature class. In this speed class, Devos and his own 11-year-old KWPN mare finished just under the time set by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Iron Dames High Level (Livello).
“I’m very happy with my horse today, Jarina improves every time. We’ll stay here for two more weeks, and I’m confident we can still do a few more good rounds.”
Khaled Almobty and the 14-year-old Stakkatol daughter, Spacecake, completed the top three.
Just off the podium was Christian Ahlmann in the saddle of Diamantino (Diamant de Semilly). Ahlmann and his 9-year-old stallion relegated compatriot Hans-Dieter Dreher to fifth place. Dreher rounded out the top five aboard Vestmalle des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet).
