Swedish show jumper Peder Fredricson (ranked number 54 on the Longines Ranking) is forced to hang up his riding boots for the time being. In the coming weeks, Fredricson will have to experience the sport from the sidelines.
Fredricson shared the news himself on social media. "Unfortunately, I have to stay out of the saddle for the next few few weeks. The cause is a fracture in my sternum, presumably due to an old injury," Fredricson writes.
"I want to thank @grevlundashowjumping and @nicoleholmen for keeping the horses happily in work during this period..."
Fredricson won the European Championship in 2017, took Olympic gold with the Swedish team in 2021, and one year later, the Swede also won the World Championship with the team in Herning.
