The 1.55m CSI4* World Cup class in Doha delivered an impressive display of show jumping. At Al Shaqab, Philipp Weishaupt ultimately jumped to victory. After two rounds, he won with the 15-year-old son of Contagio, Coby 8 (breeder: Jürgen Geffken).
Weishaupt and the Hanoverian gelding finished just under a second ahead of Roberto Previtali and the 11-year-old Esteban de Hus (Cornet Obolensky, breeder: Haras de Hus). The Italian, Abdel Saïd, with Bonne Amie , followed, along with Emanuele Gaudiano and his gelding.
Saïd and the 12-year-old daughter of A Big Boy (breeder: Trooja Hobune) were over a second faster than Jeanne Sadran and her SF stallion, Dexter de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago*HN).
The top five of this World Cup class was rounded out by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Iron Dames Dubai du Cedre, a 12-year-old daughter of Baloubet du Rouet, previously ridden by Julien Epaillard.
