Philipp Weishaupt unbeatable with new talent (!) in Doha's 1.50m CSI5*

Karaldo On Friday showjumpingaction continued at Al Shaqab, Doha. With nine combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in the 1.50m main class it was Philipp Weishaupt (GER) jumping to victory aboard KWPN-stallion, (breeder: VDL Stud / Barenkamp). Weishaupt is just debuting this sire since the beginning of the year. Before Derin Demirsoy was competing the son by Harley VDL.

Weishaupt and his 10-year-old KWPN-sire, Karaldo (Harley x Chin Chin) were the only combination to finish in under 37 seconds. The pair referred, Abdullah Alsharbatly aboard sBs-gelding, Fiumicino van de Kalevallei (Plot Blue, breeder: Gert De Sloover) to the second place. Alsharbatly and Jur Vrieling's former gelding were followed by Austria's Gerfried Puck.

Puck completed the stage aboard BWP-gelding, Equitron Ornaat V (Ut Majeur de Brecey).

Outside the stage, Marit Haarr Skollerud Cox followed with her own, Qurina van het Leliehof (Jenson van 't MEulenhof, breeder: Luc De Brabandere). Only these four combinations managed to produce a double clear. Together with Origi van 't Geyzeven (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve, breeder: Boudewijn Schepers), Spain's Mariano Martinez Bastida completed the top five.

Emanuele Gaudiano keeps winning!

Earlier Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano jumped to his third  international win in Doha this year. Together with Vasco 118 (Vivant, breeder: Paul Schockemöhle), Gaudiano won the CSI5* 1.45m class on time. The pair was followed by Oliver Lazarus aboard Miss Paris (Messenger). The 1.45m stage was completed by Duarte Seabra and GEniale Star Kervec (Suick Star).
