"One day I will win this Grand Prix with Casual too," Devos laughed after his win. "Primo is naturally a faster horse. I can't compare Casual to Primo, but I am super proud to win this CSI5* Grand Prix with a horse I bred myself! I am absolutely delighted with this victory..."

"Dinard is one of those shows that keeps us motivated. Of course, the French riders get a bit more encouragement from the crowd. But this is truly a show where you—even as a foreigner—really want to perform. These types of competitions are a genuine motivation to give it your all as a rider," Devos concluded.

In the saddle of his self-bred BWP gelding Primo DV (Vigo d'Arsouilles STX x Heartbreaker, breeder: Devos Stables), Devos delivered an absolute masterclass. The duo stayed clear once again in the jump-off, stopping the clock at a razor-sharp 47.42 seconds. That time proved untouchable for the competition and secured the top prize for the Belgian rider.

German star Christian Ahlmann made a strong bid for victory with the AES stallion Sheeran WL (Codex One x Mozart des Hayettes). Ahlmann also steered his chestnut stallion clear, but crossed the finish line in 49.08 seconds to settle for second place.

Austria's Max Kühner posted the fastest jump-off time of the day (44.92 seconds) aboard the experienced ISH gelding EIC Cooley Jump The Q (Pacino x Obos Quality 004, breeder: Pam Walshe), but an unfortunate rail stood between him and the win, leaving him with the bronze.

Fourth place went to Luciana Diniz with Vertigo du Desert (Mylord Carthago HN x Robin Z), who withdrew before the jump-off after a clear initial round. New Zealand’s Luke Dee completed the top five riding Gangster WW (Grand Slam x Kannan) after picking up just a single time fault in the first round.
