At the Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show, the CSI5* delivered top-level sport. Run over 1.55m and two rounds and counting for the Longines Ranking, the class saw the world’s elite battle for the win, with Richard Vogel on top after a decisive second round.
The victory went to Richard Vogel, who produced two faultless rounds aboard Pherny van het Keyserbos (Corydon van T&L) and stopped the clock at 34.23 seconds to secure first place. Zascha Nygaard followed in second with Com’on Miss Ogano (Ogano Sitte) after another double-clear performance in 34.48 seconds, while Simon Delestre claimed third aboard Gatsby du Tillard (President) with a clear second round in 36.62 seconds.
Hans-Dieter Dreher also finished on the podium in fourth place. Riding Cous Cous 3 (Cachas), he jumped clear in the first round and finished with four penalties in 35.40 seconds in the deciding round. The top five was completed by Mel Thijssen, who partnered Juice (Tyson) to a consistent performance, collecting four faults and finishing in 36.90 seconds.
