For the third consecutive month, German show jumper Richard Vogel holds the top spot on the Longines Ranking. In a recent EQUTALK, arguments were made to revise the ranking system once again. In October as well, Richard Vogel managed to stay ahead of American rider Kent Farrington.
The entire top three remains unchanged. Richard Vogel holds first place, followed by Kent Farrington (USA) and Shane Sweetnam (IRL). Reigning World Champion Steve Guerdat (SUI) jumps up one spot to fourth place. McLain Ward trades his seventh-place spot for position five, moving ahead of Scott Brash (GBR).
Ben Maher (GBR) drops one spot back to seventh place, while French rider Nina Mallevaey holds ground in eighth position. Daniel Deusser (GER) continues his ascent to ninth place, swapping positions with Daniel Bluman (ISR).
Biggest jumps forward - in the current top 100 - are made by Italy's Roberto Previtali, jumping from position 117 to 88. New Zealand's Sharn Wordley moves from place 131 to position 84.
