The CSI5* Borek Prize at The Dutch Masters saw Richard Vogel claim yet another victory. In this Winning Round format, Vogel jumped to the top spot aboard the BWP stallion Phenyo van het Keysersbos, bred by Hans & Heidi van den Bossche-de Keyser.
Only three combinations managed to complete both rounds without any penalties. Vogel delivered a flawless first round and stopped the clock at a blistering 35.02 seconds in the decisive Winning Round. Under the German rider, the 11-year-old Phenyo van het Keysersbos—a son of Corydon van T&L out of the well-known Heartbreaker mare Tijana van Westuur—showcased his exceptional reflexes and scope.
France's Kevin Staut had to settle for second place. He guided the SWB mare Kannonqulan (by Kannan, breeder: Lena & Julia Johansson) to a time of 36.39 seconds, more than a second slower than the winning duo.
In front of his home crowd, Hessel Hoekstra completed the top three. Hoekstra jumped to third place in 36.66 seconds with the nine-year-old KWPN stallion VDL Mindset ES (Aganix du Seigneur), bred by Egbert Schep. The rest of the top five was also dominated by the Dutch; Frank Schuttert followed just outside the top three in the saddle of Luckey SR Z (L'Arc de Triomphe), staying ahead of Maikel van der Vleuten with Jesther (Cardento).
