Hamburg is the hotspot this week for show jumping enthusiasts. During the morning program, the CSI4* Grand Prix was held on the rolling grass arena. In the 1.50m course designed by Frank Rothenberger, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson ultimately took the win with the 10-year-old Caillan (breeder: Gerd Ohlsen).
Eight combinations qualified for the jump-off in the 1.50m Grand Prix. Four pairs managed to ride a double clear round. After finishing in 38.21 seconds, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson jumped to victory with the 10-year-old Caillan (by Casall). The pair finished more than a second ahead of Belgian rider Mike van Olst and his 10-year-old Zangersheide mare, Comme Elle Faut Odth Z (by Comme il Faut).
The duo was followed by Max-Hilmar Borchert and the 16-year-old daughter of Chacco-Blue, DSP Catherina H. Also faultless, Vitor Dantes Medeiros De Carvalho finished in fourth place with More Than Extra (by Berlin).
The fastest time was recorded by Michael Cristofoletti. Riding the 10-year-old EIC Lloyd (by Lord Pezi Junior), the Italian knocked one rail down, resulting in a final fifth place.
