The GCL Super Cup in Prague has commenced with the first team competition, the Quarter Final. Teams ranked fifth through sixteenth at the end of the GCL season had to fight for their spot in the Semi Final. Only the best 8 teams of the Quarter Final made it through to join the Top 4 of the season in the Semi Final.
The win was secured by the Rome Gladiators. The team consisted of Emanuele Gaudiano who counted on Esteban de Hus (Cornet Obolensky), Yuri Mansur with Elano de Laubry Z (Echo van 't Spieveld) and Peder Fredricson on Sv Vroom de la Pomme Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles). Together they finished on a total of zero points in 205 seconds.
The silver spot went to the Prague Lions. Their riders were Thibeau Spits, Pieter Devos and Fernando Martinez Sommer. They respectively counted on Impress-K van 't Kattenheye Z (Indoktro K van 't Kattenheye), Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky) and High Five (Glasgow van het Merelsnest) to claim second place also on zero points and with a time of 207 seconds.
The podium was completed by the St Tropez Pirates. The three bronze pairs were Thibault Philippaerts who saddled Lyandro MDB (Grand Slam), Gregory Cottard put his trust in Cocaine du Val (Mylord Carthago HN) and Duarte Seabra with his trusted Dourados 2 (Diarado). They finished on 4 points and clocked a time of 206 seconds.
