Sanne Thijssen has withdrawn her horse Cupcake Z (Chacco-Blue x Caretano) from nomination for the Dutch World Championship team. "Unfortunately and to our great regret, we have to withdraw Cupcake Z from nomination to potentially represent Team NL at the FEI World Championships in Aachen," the rider shared.
"A severe heel bulb injury sustained during the warm-up for the Grand Prix in Rotterdam means that recovery will take just a little longer. Of course, we cannot take any risks with our fantastic horse, who has performed amazingly over the past year," Thijssen continued.
"We were almost certain that Cuppie would have loved the grass arena in Aachen, but unfortunately, it was not meant to be," the rider concluded.
Earlier, it was also announced that Gilles Thomas is withdrawing his Ermitage Kalone from participation, as well as André Thieme with his DSP Chakaria.
