Two weeks ago, Simon Delestre won the Rolex Grand Prix of ’s-Hertogenbosch. Last Sunday, the Frenchman claimed victory in the Hermès Grand Prix in Paris. Today, he continued his winning streak by triumphing in the 1.45m CSI5* opening class in Mexico. Riding the nine-year-old Golden Boy DK (Diamant de Semilly), Delestre finished exactly one second ahead of Ignacio Maurin.

The Argentine rider followed in second place with the 10-year-old Chacco-Conno PS (Chacco-Blue), while Jérôme Guery completed the top three. The Belgian Olympic showjumper secured third place aboard Paul Schockemöhle’s bred Killer Queen (Diablo Blanco).

Guery pushed Samuel Parot to fourth place. The Chilean rider finished just behind him with Tiffany de Olid (Huppydam des Horts), while Belgian champion Gilles Thomas and the 11-year-old Elfra van Beek (El Salvador) took fifth place.

A jubilant Delestre shared his excitement with GCTV, saying: "After the two weeks I have had, I am in a really good mood. I feel comfortable, my horses are all jumping amazing and I am just enjoying it! The Mexico show is always fantastic so we hope to continue well for the rest of the weekend.
