British rider Sienna Charles has announced the sporting retirement of her 16-year-old mare, Stardust (Chacco-Blue x Con Air, breeder: Paul Schockemöhle). The mare was an important family horse ridden by both Sienna and Harry Charles.
"Thank you Stardust," writes Sienna Charles on her social media. "For the past six years, you have been a true gift to our family. With Harry, you won the World Cup in London and some of the biggest classes in the world."
"After that, you became a mentor to me. A loyal partner who gave me my first five-star experience, where we jumped a clear Grand Prix and finished second in the Nations Cup. I will never forget our experiences! It was a privilege to be your rider!"
With this, the British rider officially announced the mare's retirement from sport.
