The Global Champions League in Rabat officially kicked off with an exciting 1.55m class that immediately guaranteed top-level competition and fast times. France's Antoine Ermann set the tone by riding Odin van 't Hanegoor to a clear and lightning-fast round. This secured him the victory and gave him a strong start to the GCL weekend.
Frenchman Antoine Ermann opened the GCL weekend in Rabat with a winning ride in 63.61 seconds with Odin van 't Hanegoor (Kiekeboe).
In second place was Sweden's Peder Fredricson with SV Vroom de la Pomme Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles). He finished his clear round in 63.96 seconds. The top three was completed by Philipp Weishaupt with Oreo D.R. (Kannan), who crossed the line in 64.63 seconds.
Fourth place also went to a Belgian-bred horse: Le Coultre de Muze (Presley Boy) under Philippe Rozier, followed by Britain's Oliver Fletcher with BP Pocahontas (Emilion) in fifth place.
In the team competition, the St Tropez Pirates with Philippe Rozier and Thibault Philippaerts are currently in the lead. With a lead of almost 4 seconds, they are ahead of number 2, Riesenbeck International (Marco Kutscher & Philipp Weishaupt). In provisional third place is Madrid In Motion, the team of Jack Whitaker & Eduardo Alvarez Aznar.
