This morning, the CSI2* Big Tour riders were presented with a course timed directly over a height of 1.45m. 81 combinations ventured onto the 15 obstacles, with 24 pairs managing to keep all the wood in the cups and cross the finish line within the time limit.
Brazilian Stephan de Freitas Barcha set the fastest time. He did so in the saddle of Chevaux Hex Lup Imperio Egipcio (Jalisco B) with a time of 58.61 seconds. Barbara Schnieper (SUI) rode Judy KM (Joly St. Hubert) just 8 hundredths of a second slower and finished in second place. Third place went to Luxembourg thanks to Victor Bettendorf and Eytuka of Two Notes Z (Emerald van 't Ruytershof) in 59.05 seconds.
Richard Vogel (GER) finished just off the podium on Gangster Montdesir (Kannan). They completed the course in 59.20 seconds. American Laura Kraut rode Kaylee (Carrera VDL) to fifth place in 61.68 seconds.
