In the Speed & Handiness Prize of Gerüstbau Nordwest, the Swiss riders dominated the podium, though the victory had a distinct Dutch flair. Steve Guerdat leaped to the overall win with the 13-year-old KWPN mare, Is-Minka (Mylord Carthago).
Guerdat and the G.J. Kappert-bred KWPN mare secured the win in a time of 60.05 seconds. The duo finished more than a full second ahead of Martin Fuchs and the 10-year-old KWPN mare, Love de Vie (Grandorado TN, breeder: Van Triest). Bryan Balsiger completed the Swiss sweep.
Balsiger and the 15-year-old sBs mare, Fais Toi Belle du Seigneur Pleville Ch (Baltik Sitte), pushed Barbara Schnieper with Judy KM (Joly St. Hubert) into fourth place. The top five was rounded out by Armando Trapote and the 13-year-old BWP mare, Nasa de Toxandria (Vertigo Saint-Benoit).
