Fifty-three combinations lined up for Oscar Soberon’s (USA) one-round speed track, and Reid was hunting a back-to-back win after taking top call in Friday’s JTWG, Inc. Grand Prix Qualifier with Crossover 4. She set an early tone with Chelsea, an 11-year-old Oldenburg mare (Cador 5 x Laudana), posting an uncatchable 65.10-second time to beat.

"She has such a big stride when she's confident and happy,” said Reid about Chelsea’s performance. “On this big field, where she can just flow out of natural rhythm, she’s hard to beat because she's so naturally quick-paced.”

Reid and the mare also picked up a three-star win during the second week of the 2026 Spring Series.

“The horses feel incredible, and I’m having so much fun out there,” said Reid of her recent string of top finishes on the derby field. “I feel really confident in myself and in them, and I think it's showing.”

Based out of Ocala, FL, Reid admits that her home farm plays a big role in her horses’ performance, “I don't have a sand ring at home, so I ride every day on grass. I think they're used to it—they're outside eight hours a day. I like to think that they feel back to their roots and are so happy out there.”

Reid celebrated the win with her family on the sidelines at Wellington International. “To have all these people on your side rooting for you behind the scenes is what gives you confidence as a rider and makes you feel like you can go in there and win it every day.”
